Lorena Trocel.
Manager Business Woman Project
Lorena Trocel, originally from Venezuela, was compelled to leave her homeland in 2017 due to the oppressive socialist regime that has gripped the country since 1998. Arriving in the United States as a single mother, Lorena was resolute in her mission to offer her daughter a life of unbounded freedoms and opportunities.
Armed with a degree in Human Resources from the University of Carabobo and a postgraduate degree in Strategic Management and Organizational Psychology, Lorena brings over 17 years of experience in both private and non-profit sectors to her new role. In Raleigh and its surrounding regions, she has been an active volunteer for various non-profit organizations, focusing on areas such as development, education, health, and culture. She has also been a collaborative researcher with the University of North Carolina, working to improve the cardiovascular health of Latinas of menopausal age in the state.
In the United States, Lorena found her calling in empowering individuals and communities to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. She believes that such empowerment can only be fully realized in a society that champions freedom for personal and professional growth. Her commitment to the Raleigh Latin Chamber of Commerce is driven by her passion to help women entrepreneurs and businesswomen overcome societal barriers and seize the myriad opportunities that America offers.
In her role as Genaral Secretary of the Latin Chamber of Commerce of Raleigh, Lorena, addresses administrative issues focusing on the religious sector without distinction of creed, providing advice on the management of procedures necessary for religious institutions before the corresponding agencies, also helping to understand government policies on religious matters, promoting respectful interaction between different associations, churches, groups and other religious institutions and organizations with a presence in the state of North Carolina.
